Studio K - Katy Stevens 

Katy Stevens has studied art all her life starting with private lessons at the age of 10. She attended the Art and Music school at Georgia State University and graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts. Her senior thesis was Weaving and Textile Arts.

After graduation she competed in juried art shows in Atlanta and Florida while  doing commissioned pieces for clients such as HBO and Prudential Life Insurance headquarters. Finding that artwork could not pay all the bills she went to work in retail management and still works in that field full time today.

Katy moved to the Fayetteville area with her husband and son in 1987. Currently her passion is jewelry and knitting. All her jewelry items are constructed with natural, semi precious stones with combinations of textures and colors to enhance the colorful inner self. All knitted items focus on comfort and warmth knitted with a unique combination of luxuriously colored soft supple yarns.

You will not be able to beat her prices anywhere! During the Fall and Winter months she makes handcrafted wreaths, Angel ornaments and mailbox covers for the season’s festivities.
